The breakfast was just amazing! Paul made us feel right at home. Clean room, comfy bed, and super friendly manager. Only downside was the shared bathroom, but for one night, it was all good. 😄

The owner runs the place single-handedly and should be proud of the personal touches and attention given to each guest.
The decor and some fixtures felt a little worn, which may deter some from fully appreciating the hotel's charm.

arran was quite the experience, to say the least. the duvet was too warm in summer—how awful! also, the exterior of the hotel showed signs of age. I expected a complimentary upgrade for my troubles but, apparently, that's too much to ask. absolutely ridiculous. I almost thought I'd write a good review, but just couldn't. wow!

We had a fab time at the cricket ground right outside our room! Mark went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay and even helped us find parking. The kids loved the comfy beds !
My wife says that it would have been better with a wider breakfast selection.

the arran was a nice spot for my short stay. it was only a 20-25 minute walk to the fortress festival and close to the pier with stunning views of the north beach. the rooms had basic amenities like tea and coffee, and the staff made me feel welcome and relaxed.
the room was a bit snug for my height, but overall, 100% recommend.

The Arran offers traditional seaside charm with immaculate rooms. I stayed in a top floor family room with a fantastic view of the cricket ground. Breakfast was hearty and well-prepared, and the manager, Paul, was exceptionally welcoming. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the South shore and local attractions, making it convenient for both work and leisure.
The absence of an en-suite bathroom was a minor inconvenience.
